Cost-effective FBG Sensor System
The sensor system measures temperature, deformation, tilt, acceleration, etc. by connecting fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) in series or parallel. Unlike existing FBG sensor systems that include expensive multi-wavelength light sources and wavelength tunable filters, this system uses the electrical driving characteristics of the light source (VCSEL) to simplify the wavelength tunable function, making the system smaller and less expensive. In addition, it is an optical sensor network item that can be applied to any size of measurement target by applying wired or wireless networks.
